Texas has been with HMF since July 13th 2019, with very little interest. We believe his is between 10 - 11 years old and about 75 pounds. Texas would need to be the only pet in the home and no kids.

Texas was picked up by a local animal control, he was found with a harness on and neutered. Everyone thought he had gotten away and his owner would be searching for him. Unfortunately, no one ever came forward to claim him.

Texas has a pretty chill personality. His favorite thing to do is stare out the windows and alert you of the mail truck. He enjoys his toys, a nice walk around the neighborhood or a care ride.

Walker has been with HMF since February 17th 2019, he was adopted on December 1, 2019 but sadly, just 3 years later his adopter passed away and his family returned him.

​

He is now 9 years old and about 75 pounds. Walker loves just being around people. He enjoys watching everything out the windows while you go about your day. Enjoys car rides and going on walks or even hikes. He walks well on leash and knows his manners.

Walker would do best in a home with older children who know how to interact with larger dogs and no other pets. We would prefer a family with a fenced in yard as well.

Allie has been with HMF since April 6st 2019, she was adopted on February 8, 2020 but just 5 short months later she was returned at no fault of her own. She is now 9 years old and about 60 pounds.

 We pulled Allie from a local animal control when she was just nine months old. She was young and scared with no manners but mostly no idea how to interact with people or other dogs.

Allie loves humans but would prefer to be the only pet in the home. She is crate and house trained. She has all the sass one could hope for! Allie would like any small humans to be older and know how to properly interact with a dog in the home.

​

*Foster must be willing to give anti-seizure medications daily.

Hank has been with HMF since May 27th 2017, he was adopted on August 1, 2017 but unfortunately he was returned on November 26, 2023 when their family situation changed.

​

Hank is now 11 years old and around 75 pounds. Hanks absolutely loves people and being a couch potato. Car rides are one of his favorite things!

​

Hank would do well his someone who works from home since he loves being with people. He is dog friendly but would prefer another dog that is older like himself or a calm personality.

Pepper has been with HMF since April 4, 2017. Pepper was the result of an unplanned litter. Peppers former owner tried to find homes for all the puppies and was successful, however without proper screening procedures we all know the high risk of not having the bully breed dogs placed in good homes.

​

That was the case for Pepper, she was a valentine’s gift for someone who did not care properly for Pepper mentally or physically. We have worked with her over the years and she has become such a wonderful dog but would need a special home who is willing to work with us closely and understand Pepper's needs.

​

Pepper is now 9.5 years old and about 40 pounds. Pepper requires a slow introduction with people, no kids or other pets in the home.

Currently In Permanent Foster

Dixie has been with HMF since July 13, 2021 and is currently in a permanent foster home.
